I am Behi Bayandor, mental health professional, with more than 15 years of experience in mental health, community services, and humanitarian settings.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside adolescents, adults, couples, immigrants, refugees, and individuals from vulnerable and marginalized communities who have experienced trauma, displacement, loss, discrimination, and significant life transitions. My work has also included volunteering with community organizations and contributing to initiatives related to human rights and social justice.
I believe that many of us learn how to survive long before we have the opportunity to truly heal. Therapy can offer a space where you no longer need to carry everything on your own—a place where your story is met with compassion, curiosity, and respect rather than judgment.
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through safe and meaningful human connection. Together, we explore the impact of past experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships, and reconnect with a sense of self, purpose, and personal values.
I have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults, individuals living with the effects of trauma, couples experiencing relationship difficulties, newcomers to Canada, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I also enjoy supporting people who are navigating questions of identity, belonging, self-worth, and life transitions.
I believe people are not defined by what happened to them, but by the meaning they create from their experiences and the strengths they discover along the way.
Seeking support can feel vulnerable, but it is also an act of courage. My hope is to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
