Biography
I am Rahil Daheshvar, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. I strive to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, cultural adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, and emotional challenges. I have experience supporting clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, newcomers adjusting to life in Canada, and individuals facing significant life changes.
I believe that every person possesses strengths and resilience, even during difficult times. Therapy offers a safe space to better understand ourselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful and lasting change. My role is to walk alongside my clients with empathy and curiosity as they discover their own capacity for healing and growth.
I utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-Based Interventions
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Emotion-Focused Techniques
Strengths-Based Approaches
Psychoeducation and Skills Building
